Festus Keyamo thinks another lock down will be counter productive. The federal government of Nigeria had earlier implemented a series of measures to help curtail the spread of the dreaded corona Virus. One of which is the impositions of stay at Home orders in The federal capital territory and Lagos state. With some perceived progress and constant cry of the citizens, the government decided to ease the lock down. This is coming after barely one month of the stay at home order. this decision has raised divided opinion. While some Felt it was absolutes necessary, others felt its coming too soon. in a tweet, The senior Advocate of Nigeria believes that “Nigeria can not defeat the Virus by running away from it, rather we should learn the habit of social distancing as well as employ hygienic behaviors.

My personal view is that another total lockdown would be counterproductive. Before defeating the virus, we must learn to live with it all around us & practice the skills of avoiding it like a landmine. Practice makes perfect. We cannot perfect those skills by locking ourselves up

While some quickly agreed with his point of view, others didn’t hide their reservations.
