Governor of Delta State: Today in Warri, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa called on the Federal Government to quickly resuscitate the Warri Port as it is key to curbing unemployment in the state and the nation.
Governor Okowa made the call at a Town Hall meeting with youth. The meeting included #ENDSARS protesters, civil society groups, students, social groups, community leaders and stakeholders across Delta South and Delta Central Senatorial Districts.
Governor Okowa stated that with the congestion of the ports in Lagos, the Federal Government should work to revive the Warri Port and other seaports in Delta State to boost the nation’s economy and create employment for the youths.
“I thank our youths for peacefully coordinating themselves. I want to assure you that this administration will address the issues raised. This town hall is an opportunity to hear from the people directly and provide solutions to the issues raised,”
