Popular Nigeria musician Runtown whose real names are Agu Douglas Jack has been giving out money to Nigerians through the popular social media platform twitter. This is to help alleviate the sufferings of the people during this period of lock down and stay at home directives given by the Government of different states. The directives came as a result of the pandemic.
This kind gesture is as a result of the directive to help curb the menace of the Covid-19 virus in the country. Thousands of Nigerians are at homes after the outbreak of the virus leaving their businesses, jobs and companies. The musician took it upon himself to do what he can do to play a role in the fight. He decided to give out money to as many people that he can give.
Through his twitter handle @iruntown, the “mad over you” crooner has been giving out up N20,000 each person. Many persons have dropped their account details and many are still dropping theirs under the tweet that he made yesterday.
This kind gesture has made many to sing the praises of the musician on social media. Some people still thinks it is a hoax and a publicity stunt to get more followers. Some other people have called out the Federal Government Nigeria to follow suit and give money to it’s citizenry.
The musician throughout yesterday gave as many as he can and he also said he will continue to give today. Thousands of Nigerians have dropped their account details on his twitter handle. Many are still dropping their account details to see if they can be lucky to receive theirs.
